“My dad always said that there’s 24 usable hours in every day.”
2008 June 25
There was a logic to it. By downing a latte around 10 p.m., I would be able to power myself through a couple of hours of work that needed to be done. A little artificial energy for someone far too dependent upon java to really be affected by caffeine…
At 2 a.m., I laughed at how free of fatigue I felt.
At 3:30 a.m., I thought about how this might be a little bit of an issue.
At 4 a.m., I realized that there was no turning back and I really just had to power through.
At 5:30 a.m., after watching the sun illuminate my living room, I collapsed into bed and swore that I’d never drink coffee after 9 p.m. again.
