The blog has taken a hit these past couple of weeks because I am in the midst of my busiest span since the summer I worked at a playhouse and rarely saw the light of day. I’ve given up keeping track of, you know, what day of the week it is. Or month. Or what state I’m in.

As long as I don’t see signs welcoming me to another state, I figure I’m totally good to go.

Anyway, today was one of those days where I awoke cautiously and proceeded to creep around my routine. In the previous three days, I’d had to call AAA to replace my Very First Flat Tire Along the Side of the Road, take my car to the mechanics twice (2) for tire issues within a six-hour span (two separate tires!) and discovered that my automatic car was not shifting gears – when I was driving on the highway home.

I didn’t realize when I awoke today that I’d walk into several hundred dollars worth of repairs, but I had a hunch that something bad would happen.

So picture me today, ready to cry if I had the energy, ready to kick my car (again) if it weren’t in the middle of an Epic Restoration. I decide to head over to see what some of my oft-read blogs are offering me for consolation.

And with a click, things felt better.

Stuart, I’m sorry you had to go through this, but lordy, did that make me finally laugh.
